Mr. Trelson Mapp represents the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development and Information Technology.
Mr. Mapp graduated from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Joined the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning later that same year. In 2012, graduated from the University of Bradford with a Master of Science degree in Development and Project Planning.
Mr. Mapp is actively involved in environmental protection, particularly climate change resiliency and biodiversity conservation and restoration. He was the focal point for the Pilot Programme on Climate Change from 2010 onwards. He was also involved in the execution of programmes such as the OECS sustainable financing for the Protection and restoration of Eastern Caribbean Marine Ecosystems. Mr. Mapp has also represented the Ministry of Finance and Planning as a board member of the National Parks, Beaches and Rivers Authority where marine and nearshore conservation programmes were developed for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Between 2013 and 2018, Mr. Mapp was SVGs observatory representative to the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund. During this period also, he was an instrumental developer of the SVGCF
