Kim Halbich is a distinguished figure in the hospitality industry, boasting an impressive career spanning 28 years. Her journey began as the manager of Mariners Inn Hotel, where her passion for providing exceptional experiences and maintaining high-quality standards was evident. In 1996, she and her husband, Earl, embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure by founding Fantasea Tours, a venture that would become a testament to their commitment to exceeding expectations.


In 2007, Kim expanded her portfolio by establishing and successfully managing Paradise Beach Hotel.
Throughout her career, she has steadfastly adhered to the philosophy of delivering safe, fun, and unforgettable experiences to clients while striving for continuous improvement.


Kim’s dedication extends beyond the boundaries of her businesses. She is deeply committed to being a
catalyst for positive change, with a particular focus on preserving and promoting the natural and cultural heritage of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Her collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the National Parks, Beaches, and Rivers Authority of St. Vincent and the Grenadines underscores her devotion to environmental conservation and education.


As a prominent figure in the region, Kim has played pivotal roles in numerous projects aimed at
enhancing education and protecting the environment. She was an integral part of the Project Implementation Team for the development of the South Coast Marine Management Area and serves as a Director of the SVG Conservation Trust Fund. Kim’s dedication to education extends to her involvement in lecturing at schools, where she imparts valuable insights on marine conservation, customer service, and career opportunities in the hospitality sector.


Moreover, Kim Halbich recognizes the importance of amplifying the voices of the youth in the pursuit of
environmental conservation. Her own children have been active advocates for conservation and
environmental protection, and she has played a role in promoting their work. Kim has initiated
innovative projects, including a floating classroom with the support of IFAW, designed to educate
children about the significance of marine conservation and the protection of the marine environment.


Kim’s commitment to the hospitality and tourism industry is further exemplified by her extensive
involvement on boards and in leadership positions. She has served on the board of the Hotel and Tourism Association for over 12 years, including a notable term as President from 2014 to 2017.
Presently, she holds the position of President once again, continuing to shape the industry’s future. Kim
also serves on the board of the SVG Tourism Authority and passionately advocates for environmental causes, education, sports, and the development of sports tourism. Her organizations actively support numerous environmental, educational, and sporting initiatives, reflecting her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in her community and beyond.
