The SVGCF’s grant-making strategy lays the groundwork for its grant-making activities and determines what the SVGCF will fund each year.

Following the development of the grant-making strategy, the SVGCF will conduct outreach to potential grantees and solicit proposals.
After conducting outreach to potential grantees and soliciting proposals, the secretariat and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will work together to review proposals and recommend grants to the board, taking a two-step approach to reviewing grant applications.
After awarding grants, the secretariat of the SVGCF will work closely with selected grantees to execute the grant agreement. The implementation includes several components, such as:
