Our landscape and resources in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are constantly threatened by climate change, chemical-intensive farming, natural disasters and the recent Covid-19 pandemic thus the adoption of sustainable farming methods is critical to ensuring food security and land conservation.

The goal of the project is to provide economic benefits to farmers through assisting in sustainable recovery and protection of farmlands from the impact of natural disasters. Vetiver System Technology would be introduced into farm systems to stimulate groundwater retention, and land stabilization and improve soil microbiome to positively impact crop yield and land integrity for the future.
